3D Assist

The missing AE tools.

While After Effects gives you an amazing 3D space to work in, it doesn't give you tools to manage the layers you place there. Our 3D Assistants are a set of keyframe assistants that take care of this problem. The tools work directly within the After Effects 3D environment, to avoid import issues and additional render time.

All-purpose assistants.

The 3D Assistants are a collection of keyframe assistants that function much like the keyframe assistants that ship with After Effects, like The Wiggler and Align & Distribute. While these keyframe assistants do allow you to create keyframes, their main purpose is to allow you to arrange and manage your layers in 3D space.

This gives you the ability to create clusters of layers, cubes, tunnels, circles, spheres, and many other shapes out of your layers, all within After Effects' 3D space.

Sixteen powerful tools.

The 3D Assistants package contains ten full-featured Pro tools. There are also six Lite tools which are simplified versions of the Pro tools. Having the alternative of using a simple or more complex tool will benefit your work.

With the 3D Assistants, you can arrange, re-arrange, re-position, and re-arrange again. If you don’t like one configuration, change a few parameters and re-adjust the layers. Hit undo to go back to your original layout.

Two kinds of Assistants.

There are two kinds of Assistants. The Distribution Assistants set up the selected layers throughout 3D space once you define the area of a primitive shape (cube, sphere, pyramid, etc). The Creator Assistants are designed to create the selected primitive out of the layers you select. For example, create a video wall, a cube, a ring or other shape.

If you do a lot of work in After Effects' 3D space — or don't because you find it difficult to manage — the 3D Assistants are made for you.
