Use for photography portraits.
Our main purpose for creating Backdrop Designer is to give photographers a flexible, inexpensive way to put imagery behind their clients and models. Backdrop Designer gives you hundreds of premade digital backdrops to choose from. These presets can be combined or modified to create, literally, thousands of variations. You can even use Adobe Photoshop to create more variations. It's a very powerful way of working.
In fact, the product was conceived a few years ago at a Photoshop / photography trade show. Digital Anarchy was showing off our masking software, Primatte Chromakey, and many pro-level photographers said, 'Wow, it would be great to digitally add in my muslin drapery after using Primatte." Voila! The idea for Backdrop Designer was born.

Use for corporate presentations.
Have you ever wanted to create an interesting digital background for Powerpoint presentation, but lacked the time that would take? Of course you have! Backdrop Designer is a simple way to quickly design compelling corporate backgrounds in Adobe Photoshop.
Choosing a digital background for your presentation is important since that image will set the tone and look. Color and texture play an important role in the creativity and suitability of a visual theme. Digital backgrounds need to be elegant and subdued. The image's purpose is to add -- not distract -- your audience from the message.
You can use Backdrop Designer to create your own unique digital backgrounds, then save them for later use. Many people would call these 'templates'. We call them your own virtual library of images.
Use for scrapbooking.
Backdrop Designer is also great for creating backgrounds for 'scrapbooking'. Scrapbooking is a hobby that has been growing in popularity. The idea is to preserve memories in a unique and creative way. A scrapbooker starts with a scrapbook and a set of memories that they want to preserve for the future.
Photographs are the starting point of a scrapbook page. Rubber stampings, drawings, newspaper clippings, stickers, greeting cards and other flat items help to set the tone and theme. Craft items like confetti, glue, glitter, magic markers and are used for the construction and embellishment.
With the introduction of cheap easy-to-use software, scrapbooking has increasingly taken on a digital aspect. Some scrapbook pages are created entirely in Photoshop or other paint programs, then printed out for the final decoration elements. Backdrop Designer has been a popular choice for allowing scrapbook artists to easily find a graphic that fits their memories perfectly.
