Gallery of Lighting Design.
Knoll Light Factory is a lighting effects creator, but it goes much further than simulated flares and sun effects. Add the sparkle to a wedding ring to make your magazine ad more appealing. Enhance an illustration with special effect glows. You can light up any image or photo.

Karl-Fredrik von Hausswolff, 2008
Swedish photographer Karl-Fredrik von Hausswolff has been working in the business for 10 years. His commissioned work these days often featurs
automobiles and beautiful skies. A couple years ago, PLAZA Magazine commissioned Karl to make a car visually stand out against its competitors. He found Knoll Light Factory before he took any shots because he knew creatively that he wanted star-like lighting to make the car pop out. As Karl has used Knoll Light Factory in his work, he's branched off the star effect and migrated to the enhancements of direct sunlight flares. See more photography by Karl.

Joe Felzman became
interested in photography at age 12 and has now been in the business for 31 years. His interest is in taking on commercial projects that are challenging to light. Usually Joe works with inanimate objects but sometimes models are incorporated, as in the work below. Often Knoll Light Factory is an important part of finessing the composition. Creating Images, 2007

Producer/Photographer Steven Gotts of Creating Images created beautiful images for Review Magazine's cover story. The story showcases Michigan-based music group The Thunderchickens. Knoll Light Factory was used to create the star effect in the window and its resulting the dramatic art effect to the left and lower portion of the photo. Says Steven, "Actually, the light effect was one of those 'Happy Accidents'. Some of the resulting artifacts of simply wanting a star can result in quite a design element that can be created nowhere else." Click for larger image. Hear music of The Thunderchickens on MySpace.
