Shapes & lines for design.
A common element in broadcast design is floating lines, squares, circles and other recognizable shapes. Geomancy is a three-plugin set that generates and animates those lines and shapes. While the elements are simple to create, they can be quite tedious to animate. We make this easy for you! From squiggly lines to flowing water to basic squares, Geomancy is flexible and dynamic for creating patterns and background textures.
Customer Note: Text Anarchy, Geomancy and Anarchy Toolbox are now part of the new Red Giant Text
Anarchy plugin suite. Please visit the Red Giant Software site for more information.

Three powerful plugins.
There are three plugins in the set, and each concentrates on a different kind of geometric look. In all of the plugins, a particle system generates the shapes or lines. An underlying Grid system is used to control how these particles look and behave. [more]
Geomancy has many controls for its particle system, including thickness, length, path of motion and growth rate. Almost every parameter has an option for 'Randomness'. [more]

Our inspiration for Geomancy.
The word 'Geomancy' is actually a term related to Feng Shui, the Chinese art of arrangement. In the 19th century, a 'geomancer' would detect the powerful currents that run through the earth surface and determine where houses should be placed.
Geomancy was the art of finding a perfect, magical balance in land shapes. Thus, our Geomancy finds the perfect balance of digital shapes.
Our idea for each tool came from just observing the world around us and getting inspiration from nature. For instance, HairLines was inspired by the way hair moves in water.
You'd think we could take a vacation and not think about work, but no! Sitting around a pool, we noticed the way hair would float and bend and thought, "Hey! That'd be a cool filter!" |
