The Navigation tools.
Other areas of the Primatte interface are important for navigating your chromakey image. These tools include the Move tools, the Assist tools, and the Apply/Cancel buttons in the Navigation Bar.
The Move tools.
The Move tools for zooming and panning work like the magnification functions in Photoshop (or similar programs). There are two ways to zoom into your image. Either scrub with the Zoom tool, or use the Zoom box to magnify to the next preset percentage. The Pan tool is a grabber hand that pulls around to different areas of the image. Use the Zoom and Pan tools to navigate your Preview Window to work on specific areas of your mask. It?s helpful to review your image at a closer or farther view rather than just at the target render size.

The Assist tools.
Primatte lets you temporarily save mask settings through the Mark and Recall buttons. Mark saves settings for later use. Recall brings back the last settings that were marked. These tools only operate within a work session, but they are invaluable if you want to temporarily save your mask settings, then go on to experiment a little further. You can Undo or Redo any task, up to 200 levels, within one work session. The Reset button tells Primatte to forget everything that you've done. It is perfect to use when you open up Primatte and need to clear the settings of the last rendered mask so you can start fresh. |

The Navigation Bar.
Along the top of the Primatte interface is a Navigation Bar. The Prompt
Area at left gives a brief explanation of a tool's function when you hover over it. |
The Apply (checkmark) button renders the mask that you have created. The Primatte interface closes and the mask applies itself to your Photoshop layer. The Cancel (x) button also takes you out of the Primatte interface and back into Photoshop. When you cancel, the mask that you?ve been editing is not saved or stored for later use.
Save settings between sessions.
Primatte saves your mask settings any time you hit the Apply button. Whether you load in a new image immediately or shut down Photoshop until another day, Primatte will remember those mask settings.
This can be useful if you are processing multiple images. If you open up another graphic with a similar blue background, Primatte will automatically apply your last session's settings. On the other hand, if you create a mask for a blue background, then load in an photo with a green background, those original mask settings may not be useful. If you don't want to use the remembered settings, just click the Reset button.
