Primatte Chromakey 3.0 Software : Adobe Photoshop Plugin

Better Chromakey tools. New features.

Welcome to Primatte Chromakey 3.0! This version is a pretty big upgrade for the software.

We tweaked a bunch of things under the hood, and did a significant redesign of the Primatte Chromakey interface. We’ve added some new chromakey tools, improved old tools, and improved the way Primatte Chromakey software interacts with Adobe Photoshop. Of course, we’ve also added Intel Mac, Vista and Photoshop CS3 support.

Easy-to-use toolbox.

Digital Anarchy teamed with well-known UI designers to create a simple but sophisticated interface for Primatte Chromakey 3.0. Primatte's tools are easy to use. Just click-and-drag to define the tonal values that you want to extract. The interface is seamlessly integrated into Adobe Photoshop, eliminating the need to jump into other applications.

The Masking tools.

First, the 'Select' tool chooses the background color for removal. Second, 'Clean BG' gets rid of pixels in the Background, that is, the backing screen. Third, 'Clean FG' will clear away pixels inside the Foreground, which is your subject. Great ways to Mask

Preview and View tools.

The Preview Window (shown above) is the largest part of Primatte's interface. This shows you the layer that is selected in your Photoshop file, which is the chromakey photograph that needs to be masked. Primatte has four View Modes to examine and evaluate the mask while you are working. View your Mask as you Work

Spill correction tools.

Color spill' is an undesirable tint on your subject. This is the result of your photography lights reflecting the color of the backing screen. Primatte gives you 10 buttons and five sliders to fix color spill. Some Spill tools are for general purpose correction, while others attend to smaller details. Spill Removal and Fine Detail Tools
