Overview of Psunami tools.

What can you create with Psunami? Any large body of water that you can imagine. Psunami isn't geared towards creating small bodies of water, like puddles or even ponds. Instead, this plugin focuses on creating oceans, lakes, even swimming pools. Read on for a summary of some cool features.

Animation control.

You can move the Psunami camera all around, including underwater, to move away from above-the-surface shots. [play]

For this project, we lowered the camera to create an underwater perspective. The light rays were pumped up with a light blast filter. We looped the footage using a built-in property called 'Loop Time'. Read more about Animation options on this page.

Camera control.

You have lots of camera options, like attaching the camera to the water surface with the 'Bobbing Platform' parameter. [play]

This is great for creating effects from the POV of a swimmer or someone in a row boat. It can also be put to good use in making your viewers seasick. Read more about Camera options on this page.

Texture & displacement maps.

sing texture maps, you can give your water different looks, like cartoon. [play]

For this image, we mapped a flat colored Solid (in After Effects) onto the water to give the effect of cell/anime shading. Read more about Image Map options on this page.

Ocean & wave control.

You can set the speed of the waves and match time-lapsed footage. [play]

This project shows stock footage of clouds composited with Psunami water. Read more about Ocean and Wave controls on this page.

Air & light optics.

Although the sun doesn't actually set in this movie, you can animate the Psunami sun. [play]

Grab a beer and watch a sunset. We used Knoll Lens Flare to give the built-in sun a bit more punch. Read more about Air and Light optics on this page.

Atmosphere options.

You can also add atmospheric effects in Psunami, like haze, fog, and rainbows. [play]

Go traipsing across the water looking for that pot o' gold. Read more about Rainbow and Haze controls on this page..
