Great titling & compositing features.
Text Anarchy is designed for work in which text characters will be in the forefront and used as a main component of the design. The Text Anarchy filters add a wealth of creative opportunities for broadcast designers, compositers and typographers.
Use a particle system.
Some of the Text Anarchy plugins generate and animate text via a particle system. There's no fiddling with Illustrator or Photoshop files. No keyframing. No need to make 15 layers with different words on them and transition between them. Just set a few parameters (or a lot of parameters if you're so inclined) and hit render.
You have a lot of control if you need it. But
if you just want some text to spew out of nowhere, you can create
that effect in minutes. |

Go ahead, be random.
Perhaps the coolest feature of Text Anarchy is its Randomness sliders. Most important parameters have an accompanying randomize option to vary the original parameter. The Randomness sliders are a great method of breaking apart design elements in an organic, easy way. [more]
For example, in Text Matrix, if you want to vary the stream length between 6 and 18 characters, just set the Length parameter to 12, and the Randomness parameter to 50%. Streams will randomly be assigned a Length value between 6 and 18. The plugin takes care of the animation and keeps track of the streams. |

Built-in alpha controls.
Did we mention that the Text Anarchy plugins all
have built-in alpha? The text animations and effetcs that you create
are automatically set on an alpha so that background images can
show through that layer.
Map text to Bezier paths.
Text Anarchy lacks some features in Final Cut Pro that are present in After Effects. The main limitations involve Bezier paths, which are used by several Text Anarchy filters and not supported in FCP. Also, rendering speed is significantly better in After Effects. |

Other great features include:
- Full-featured typographic controls, like Kerning, Tracking, Leading, Hinting, and Baseline Shift. This allows for precise placement of the text, whether it's a single word or a lengthy paragraph. See Text Hacker plugin.
- Letters can easily be animated on a letter by letter basis. With effects like Blur, Color, and Scale, this creates a completely new way of animating text in After Effects. See Cool Text plugin.
- Paths can be used in interesting ways, like creating trails. Text can have different attributes, like Font Size or Color, at different ends of the path. See Text Spiral plugin.
- Multiple fonts can be used, switching fluidly fbetween text styles in the composition. See Font Changer plugin.
- Text can scroll or type along a screen, much like a typewriter or computer or consule. See TypeOn and Screen Text plugins.
