Text Anarchy

Filter: Screen Text.

Screen Text is designed to imitate text scrolling up a screen. Just set the Scroll Speed and your composition is almost finished. You may notice some similarity to another Text Anarchy plugin, TypeOn. The key difference is that you use Screen Text to simulate a computer and TypeOn to mimic a human.

Rolling, scrolling text.

Screen Text can slowly reveal itself as if it's being typed in, or lines can appear all at once. You can even set it up so only one line is displayed at a time.

This is useful if a large amount of text needs to appear, and you want each new line to replace the previous one. Much easier than setting up 30 layers and cutting between them! The plugin can generate random characters or specific characters. You can also enter your own text by inputting or importing a .TXT file.

The top lines use user-supplied text; the bottom is randomly generating text [play]

Helpful typography controls.

A wide variety of controls let you set up how the text displays. Speed, Direction, Font Size, Orientation, and Line Spacing are a few. Randomness sliders go along with the main parameters, which helps achieve a more natural look, and eliminates any artificial patterns.

Whether you just want some text to scroll in the background or need something to put on a display on a Star Trek set, Screen Text will save you a lot of time.
