Text Anarchy

Filter: Text Spiral.

Text Spiral allows you to set up text on a path. What's so special about that? Well, you can set the attributes at either end of the path to differing values.

Change the start and end Font Size, Color and Rotation values for quick, fun, funky animation. With Text Spiral, animate text trailing off into space, text flowing down a drain, and faux-3D effects, without multiple layers or keyframes.

Begin & End settings.

Text at one end of your path can have the same or different attributes as the text at the opposite end. The parameters that control this come in two categories: Beginning and Ending. Makes sense, right?

Beginning and Ending controls look like the screenshots at right. The fllter interpolates its inbetween values to create your animation. You can also turn on the Begin=End checkbox. This tells the End params to take on the Begin values.

Control over Path Position.

Other important parameters in Text Spiral are Text Position, Path Start/End Point and Wrap Text. Text Position sets where the text will begin along its path. Path Start/End Point adjusts where the text travels, to allow it to continue in a straight shot and off the path. Conversely, Wrap Text tells the text to loop back around and re-enter the path.
