Filter: Gradient!

After Effects has three filters capable of generating gradients. However, none of them provide a flexible, easy method. Enter Gradient!, our plugin to create 16-bit, six-color gradients.

Four gradient types.

Gradient! works similar to the Photoshop Gradient tool, with the addition of animation capabilities. With multiple colors, multiple gradient types, and a host of other features, Gradient! designs gradients quickly and intuitively.

Choose from four gradient shapes: Linear, Circular, Wrapped, and Square. Set their behavior with a simple Direction dial. There are six Color wells to add or subtract from the gradient.

Other options include Brightness, Contrast, Transparency, and Direction dial. You can even control the repeat factor of the gradient. Built-in transfer modes allow you to blend the gradient with the underlying image.

Six color controls.

Each Gradient Color has a set of associated parameters which are individually broken out. The gradient can be animated or changed dynamically by other filters or animated events.

The Position and Transparency of each Color well is a separate control. This means you can individually control and animate every part of the gradient. This is great for designing a gradient to react to music, for instance, or using expressions.
