ToonIt! Aperture Cartoon Effects Plugin

Cartoon your creativity.

Following a very successful Photoshop plugin, ToonIt! for Aperture gives still images and photographs that sought after cartoon look.

The Aperture cartoon effects plugin uses advanced algorithms to instantly create cartoon shading and lines. ToonIt! has a beautiful variety of styles. Its interface gives precise control over styles, shading and outlines.

Preserve detail in faces & figures.

One of the key features of ToonIt! is its ability to translate the details of the human face and form into a believable cartoon. People are typically most difficult to ‘toon’ because most people know what facial features and expressions should look like. This kind of imagery is where most cartooning filters and plugins fall apart.

ToonIt! is able to identify areas that should be shaded as one color and uses sophisticated edge detection to draw outlines. This creates very consistent, pleasing large features in the face and body while also retaining smaller details like hair and eyes.

No hand masking or rotoscoping.

Have you tried to make a cartoon before? It's time consuming and not very effective.

You use the Posterize command to break the image into distinct colors, perhaps use Levels to make the colors more extreme, then it's time to hand paint over the imagery until it... sort of... looks good.

With ToonIt!, each beautiful cartoon effect is generated automatically. There are customizable controls in the plugin, but no manual work is needed to achieve your results.

Color in or out of the lines.

ToonIt!’s edges are what make up the outlines around the color fields. These lines can be rendered to produce a Pen & Ink look or stylized in more non-traditional ways.

You can also turn off the color and use Outline Only options. These will let you create calligraphic or realistic lines. You can change the line width, line blur, and even the color of the lines to create more variation.
