ToonIt! 2.5 update info.

In January 2010, we released ToonIt! 2.5. We are offering owners of ToonIt! 2.0 a free update to version 2.5. We have added great features like three new Outline effects, a Supersmart blur option, more cartoon presets and a Disable Preview feature.

For Aperture , updating your ToonIt! 2.0 to 2.5 is a simple process. You will first remove the version 2.0 files, and then do a fresh install of the version 2.5 files. Please read this page for instructions.

Update on Mac for Aperture.

1- First, you need to remove version 2.0. This is very easy. Just go to this location: Hard Drive/ Library/ Application Support/ Aperture/ Plug-ins/ Digital Anarchy/ ToonIt 2.0. Please put the ToonIt 2.0 folder in your Trash.

2- Next, let's download the ToonIt 2.5 installer. You want to save this DMG file to your desktop or another download location, but NOT to your Plug-ins folder. Please click this link to download.

3- From your desktop, double-click the DMG file that you have downloaded. This DMG file will mount an installer disk, and open a new window showing the installer file. Double-click the installer to start the installation.

4- Installing for Aperture is a pretty straight forward process.There's really only one place to install the Aperture plugin and the installer does that automatically. You should not need to change the install location or move the plugin.

6- When you first apply ToonIt 2.5 to a photo in Aperture, the plugin will look for its serial number. ToonIt should remember that information. If it instead starts in Demo mode and you don't know your serial number, please email us. This is a new update system and it may not work perfectly yet.
