We work as hard as you do

We operate the way our customers do: Work hard, think fast, and control the chaos. The name 'Digital Anarchy' was taken from someone's description of the Internet in the late '90's. It's a good description of our philosophy. 'Anarchy' embodies a sense of constant, rapid change, as we look for new, creative ideas to help designers and photographers.

A brief history of anarchy

After a decade in the software industry, our company president, Jim Tierney, struck out on his own. In April 2001, he released Digital Anarchy's first After Effects product, Elements of Anarchy: Text, developed by co-founder and ex-ILM programmer, Garrick Meeker. The company added more video and animation products each year and in 2004, moved into developing Photoshop and digital photography plugins. We've continued to add ground breaking products to both our video and photo product lines.
