San Francisco, CA – January 6, 2004 —

Digital Anarchy, a leading provider of cost-effective special effects software for Adobe, Apple and Discreet products, today announced the availability of Text Anarchy 2.1 for After Effects and Final Cut Pro. Key features in Text Anarchy 2.1 include:

Text Anarchy 2.1 is composed of eight versatile filters that provide specific methods for producing a wide variety of text effects, ranging from randomly animating text for background effects to creating effects for titles. Some of the filters use particle systems specifically designed for text, while others allow the animation of characters on a letter-by-letter basis or by using paths to control the look and attributes of the text.

  • OpenType support: In addition to TrueType and Postscript type 1 fonts, all the Text Anarchy filters now support OpenType fonts.
  • Improved support for foreign language character sets: All filters now support characters with diacritical marks, Unicode, and large character set fonts such as Asian character sets. Random character generation is also improved to include the additional character support.
  • Improved speed in Final Cut Pro 4.1: Final Cut Pro 4.1 users should see a significant speed increase when using the filters.
  • Bug fixes and other improvements: Many of the filters have seen small improvements and bug fixes that make the filters more stable and useful overall.
